Strix Technologies is a Venezuelan company founded in 2005 by young entrepreneurs with more than 40 years of combined experience in the area of information Technology. Strix Technologies aims to deliver complex data management solutions using our expertise in highperformance computing, storage, visualization, software development, and Open Source tools. For this, Strix has made strategic alliances with IBM, Novell, Silicon Graphics (SGI) and with Absolut Technologies in Brazil. The latter has designed and built more than a dozen viewing and decision-making rooms for PetroBras, Embraer and other educational institutions in Brazil, including the University of Sao Paulo. These alliances allows the delivery of complete projects and their subsequent maintenance through local staff located in Caracas, provided by Strix.

STRIX Technologies has a very specific orientation towards highly specialized technological solutions, designed for those companies that want to be competitive in a globalized market. In order to provide a good service, Strix is structured in four business areas: the Products Division, which is responsible for the commercialization of infrastructure solutions and technological support in both software and hardware; The Support Division, in charge of the installation of new equipment and maintenance of hardware and software, the Professional Services Division provides consulting services to deploy IT infrastructure and software development, and the Education Division, which ranges from training in basic user tools to highly specialized technical courses to customers.

Authentication and Registration System


The Authentication and Registration System developed by Strix Technologies engineers provides an integrated and scalable platform of services to customers, suppliers, brokers, and employees through a single access point. The following figure illustrates the main page of the system.

The portal offers a unique authentication point that allows role-based access to a range of applications developed in .NET and PHP. The physical architecture of the system consists of two horizontally scalable server farms configured in high availability as shown below.

During the development process, Strix Technologies staff utilized development-level integration tools, version control, and fault reporting.
